Company History
Since 1979, Advance Hearing Aid Centre in Dublin has been providing excellence in hearing care to patients all over the country. The forerunners in hearing aid care, Advance Hearing previously had clinics all over Ireland, but in recent years has kept focus on Dublin. We still have patients who travel to us from each of the twenty six counties. They come to us for our attention to detail and outstanding level of care which we have provided for the last forty years. James Sharkey, a founder of the company, is still actively engaged with patients.
Since April 1985, Advance Hearing has been at 12 Aston Quay, Dublin 2, having previously been located at Store Street, Dublin 1. That same year, Brian Coffey started working as a technician. Today, Brian is the Managing Director of both Advance Hearing Aid Centre, and Dublin Hearing Aid Centre, which is located on Lower Dorset Street, Dublin 1.

Free Hearing Test
Hearing tests are painless and non-invasive. The purpose of a hearing test is to determine if you have a hearing loss, and how mild or severe it is. At Advance Hearing we offer a Free Hearing Test so that we can advise you on whether hearing aids are a suitable solution for you.
Our Professional Team
At Advance Hearing Aid Centre we give you a combination of vast hearing aid experience and excellent audiology. Starting with over 75 years experience between James Sharkey (one of Advance Hearing founders in 1979) and Brian Coffey (founder of Ireland’s only hearing aid manufacturer). We combine that with Louise’s Bachelor of Science in Audiology and years of experience as an Audiologist in the NHS.
